How to train the pectoral muscle?

Dumbbell press. In general, the exercise is similar to the previous one. But it can stretch the pectoral muscle more strongly in the lower position. It is also preferable to perform it on an elevated bench.
Starting position: lying on a bench. We place our hands with dumbbells at chest level. We lower our arms, bent at the elbows at a right angle, just below the level of the bench, and push them up, trying to feel the chest muscles. Three approaches are performed 15 (or 12) times.
- Advice . Try placing your hands a little closer, a little further from your chest to find a position that gives you the best feel for your pectoral muscles.
Dumbbell fly. This exercise is more difficult than the previous ones. In addition to pumping up, it also helps stretch the pectoral muscle.

The starting position is the same - lying on a bench, holding a dumbbell in your hands. The exercise is performed with almost straight arms (only slightly bent at the elbows to protect the joints). On the downward movement, we spread our arms at the level of the bench or slightly lower, without bending them. Up - bring your arms together at chest level.
This exercise can also work the anterior deltoid (the front muscle of the shoulder joint). Typically, in this exercise the weight of dumbbells is almost two times lower than in the chest press. For beginners, you can try doing muscle training this way without weight or with minimal weight. Perform three sets of 15 (or 12) reps.
- In all exercises, try to feel the load in the pectoral muscle. First, specifically strain it with force, and then over time you will begin to feel the muscle better.
Pull-ups. Pull-ups are also a good exercise for the chest muscles. In this case, you need to pull yourself up using your pectoral muscles, not your arms.
Of course, few girls are able to pull themselves up “like a man.” To do this, you can use a lightweight horizontal bar on a wall bars, in which the exercise is performed in a “half-hanging” position. Everyone is familiar with it from school physical education lessons. This exercise is similar to push-ups, only in reverse. Perform three sets of 15 repetitions.
Gyms usually have a gravitron, a pull-up machine on which you can install a counterweight. Thus, you will not need to lift all your own weight, but as much as you can. On the gravitron, try to do three sets of 12 repetitions.

If neither one nor the other is available, ask someone to help you do pull-ups on a regular horizontal bar. At the same time, the person should not do everything for you, but only push you up a little. By the way, this is often how they learn to pull themselves up, with someone’s help. With this method, you won’t be able to do many repetitions at once - try to do the maximum that you can. Even once is better than nothing!
- Any muscle develops better if it is stretched after exercise. A stretch for the pectoral muscle can be done like this: stand in a doorway, grab the door frames with your hands and pull your chest forward. You can also perform it alternately on each hand.
Push ups . The good thing about push-ups is that you can do them at home, without additional equipment.
You need to place your hands a little wider than your shoulders to pump up your chest muscles. With a narrow position of the hands, the main load will fall on them. If it’s immediately difficult to do push-ups from the floor with straight legs, you can bend your knees or do push-ups, for example, from the seat of a sofa. Perform three sets of 15-20 repetitions.
In what cases can you contact a surgeon?
If your breasts are sagging for any reason (sudden weight loss, pregnancy, genetic predisposition), then exercise will not help you. In this case, only implants will be able to fill the empty space in its structure. If you are thin and your breasts are naturally small, then you either accept it or also look for a good plastic surgeon. Inflated pectoral muscles will not solve your problem.
Psychology of Suspension
From the point of view of psychoanalysis, we can safely say that by subjecting themselves to painful punctures followed by hanging on certain areas of the skin, our contemporaries experience not only (and sometimes far from) masochistic pleasure. Of course, a certain “moral masochism” takes place and we have no right to deny this component completely (more about this here), however, having been engaged in hanging for many years, I can say that this is far from the only motive for performing the ritual in modern society .
I would like to note that, mostly, the clients of hanging masters are young people who have recently reached adulthood. Psychologists attribute this trend to the fact that in modern society there is no obvious “ritual of passage” to adulthood, except for an issued passport and the opportunity to officially purchase alcohol and tobacco. Young people, wanting to psychologically consolidate their status as “adults,” are looking for an opportunity to prove this to themselves and to society. This is precisely the reason for the influx of teenagers barely eighteen years old into tattoo parlors, parachute clubs and piercing and hanging specialists. By getting a tattoo, piercing the skin, or exposing his health to other controlled dangers, an individual declares to society that from now on he is in charge of his body and life, as well as the right to make similar decisions in the future. This is a natural process of personality development and is described in many books on developmental psychology.
However, it is not only teenagers who are hung from hooks. Many people try the ritual at a fairly mature or even old age, doing it once or repeating it many times. In this case, the answer most likely lies in psychological relief, a feeling of relief after undergoing the ritual, the release of hormones during the suspension process, as well as in training the body and mind under conditions of physiological and psychological stress.
