Here are the top 15 CrossFit exercises that only require your body weight. In addition, they can be performed at home.
Dear friends, today we will talk about CrossFit. Let’s try to be as short as possible, but at the same time give you a complete understanding of this type. CrossFit appeared relatively recently in Russia. This sport is new to us, coming from America. CrossFit gymnast Greg Glassman invented it. In the 80s, he defined the general position of this technique.
CrossFit became widespread in 2001. CrossFit can be called a system of general physical training, consisting of functional, constantly varying movements performed at high intensity. CrossFit creates the most versatile athletes possible, that is, they must be strong and resilient, fast, explosive, coordinated, and generally ready for any physical activity. The athlete receives uniform and full physical development. We just ask you not to confuse CrossFit with regular circuit training, as many people mistakenly think. You are told this by those people who have not understood the essence of CrossFit and thereby draw hasty conclusions. Of course, circuit training in CrossFit is a common occurrence, but it is far from the basis.
CrossFit can be roughly divided into fitness for health and sports. Such training has the main goal of improving health and creating good physical shape. CrossFit as a sport has the main goal of winning various competitions.
What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a type of functional training that typically combines cardio, gymnastics, and strength training. One of the main features of CrossFit is going through circles (sometimes hell), each of which is divided into stages. Recently, it has been gaining more and more popularity, so you have probably already seen a special training area in your fitness club (if you go there, of course). We decided to tell you what its main advantages are and why you should stop being afraid of the word “CrossFit”.

Age: 25 years Height: 167 cm Weight: 76 kg Clean and jerk: 100 kg Snatch: 93 kg Fran: 3:30
American athlete Dani Speegle has been involved in sports all her adult life. At the age of 5, she became interested in gymnastics and rose to a fairly high level, earning several state awards. Unfortunately, the ten-year rise of his sports career was suddenly interrupted after an unsuccessful fall from the uneven bars, which caused a spinal injury. Although the door to gymnastics was closed after that, Speegle was able to survive that difficult period and soon found herself in team sports and track and field.
While in high school, a friend introduced her to Crosslift. A year later in 2020, she competed in the Atlantic region as part of the Kings Poin team. The main turning point in the competition came at the beginning of the 2019 season, when she took 5th place at the Dubai Championships among quite serious competitors. It was then that the girl felt confident that she could perform at a high level individually. After just three years of CrossFit training, she became the strongest American athlete according to the Open 2020 version and is now among the elite representatives of this type of fitness.

Workouts and more
Today, much of Suzanne's life is devoted to training. She works out twice a day for an hour or more; her program includes gymnastics, kettlebell lifting, weightlifting, powerlifting, swimming and rock climbing. This combination allows you to load all muscle groups, improves coordination and avoids routine. Complete rest is possible only once a week, and the girl does not accept long holidays without training.
Suzanne is also making progress in business - she is a co-owner of a family gym and has a personal trainer certificate.
Photos of girls before and after
CrossFit classes have helped many girls get rid of excess weight, and this is confirmed by their before and after photos:
This type of circuit training is also popular among men. You can see an example of a CrossFit before and after photo below:
The photo clearly shows the result of long-term training. The muscles of athletes look toned and are difficult to recognize now. However, achieving such relief is not so easy and you will have to devote months of hard training to this process.
Is CrossFit dangerous?
Expert commentary
Daria Brygina
Nike Training Club Trainer
“Only if you do the tasks incorrectly and decide not to listen to the coach’s advice about when to stop, CrossFit is not much different from other sports. The erroneous opinion about its harm to health, by and large, arose several years ago, when CrossFit began to appear in our country and many did not have a clear idea of how to distribute the load.”
Personal life
Almost nothing is known about the CrossFit star’s personal life. Suzanne herself says that she doesn’t have time for serious romances, but she adores “strange guys” and perhaps one of them will be lucky soon. In the meantime, Svanevik considers his mother to be his best friend: they communicate a lot and go for morning runs together.
In her free time from training and competitions, the girl works on her blog and uploads new videos. She already has more than 200 thousand subscribers on Instagram and many enthusiastic followers. By the way, in everyday life Suzanne loves jokes, is partial to spectacular selfies and fanatically buys sneakers: she already has an impressive collection in her wardrobe.
Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz is another celebrity who doesn't like easy workouts. Teddy Bass, who was her long-time coach, helped shape her body through CrossFit exercises. He developed a 10-minute workout for people who are interested in exercise. Bass introduced some CrossFit techniques into Cameron's daily life, such as truck tire pushing and rope training.
During his workouts, Bass focuses on her arms, legs and butt. Not only on how they look, but also how to tone and make them stronger.
Jack Osborne
Jack Osbourne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2012. Unsurprisingly, it has changed his life and he is always trying to find ways to control his MS through treatment and exercise. CrossFit seems to suit him. He is able to keep up with intense training and says he feels very good after completing it.
Many people, in search of an ideal body, start playing sports. It is important to understand that this is much more than just classes. They will help your mind focus and stay alert.

Jason Statham
Jason Statham is the star of action films like The Fast and the Furious, which means that a lot of his body is present in his scenes. The actor considers CrossFit an ideal way to prepare for his work, but he sincerely believes how difficult this sport is. “My training is killer, terrible and invaluable,” he says.
According to Shape, he trains every day for 35 minutes. It helped me lose almost 8 kilograms in just six weeks. The actor changes jobs daily and keeps records of everything he does.
Bob Harper
Paula Patton decided to take up CrossFit because of her busy schedule. According to the actress, the idea of working out for just 30 minutes sounded ideal for those who had just become mothers, like her. However, these minutes are very intense.
Patton also likes that CrossFit is more social because he thinks running on a treadmill feels more solitary. She also says the workout includes some martial arts techniques, which makes it interesting. Patton tries to exercise almost every day and likes to try new things, so CrossFit was a perfect fit.
Joe Manganiello
Joe Manganiello is another Magic Mike character who recommends CrossFit. Sofia Vergara's husband is known for his physique and can always be seen doing CrossFit workouts. The actor loves to be active and sees CrossFit as a way to have fun as well as exercise.
During an interview with Men's magazine, he said that his training is about becoming the best athlete he can be, not about what his body will look like. Manganiello added that he plans to compete in CrossFit competitions in the future.
