Spicy chicken wings are a minimum of meat with a maximum of breading. There are 439 kcal per 135 grams of product. Here it’s even difficult to advise removing everything unnecessary, because there will be nothing to eat.
Boxmaster is strictly excluded. Even if green leaves protrude from it temptingly, in terms of calorie content it simply goes beyond all limits - 638 kcal. for 251 g servings. Bigger is only slightly inferior to him - 622 kcal. at 259

PS: It is thanks to starch that the crust is very similar to cereal. I used cornstarch, but the breading was too hard in some places. Maybe it's the cornstarch, or maybe you just need to reduce the starch to flour ratio.

- Mix all dry ingredients well and taste. If necessary, add salt or spices.
- Mix the egg with a small amount of water and beat.
PS: In my opinion, it is better to use sparkling mineral water instead of regular water. Usually, using this water makes the batter more airy.
Although, I haven’t had time to try it on this recipe yet, so I can’t say with 100% confidence that this is a good idea.
- Add the beaten egg and water to the dry ingredients and mix the batter.
Gradually add the rest of the water in small portions until we have a consistency somewhere between yogurt and kefir.
- Place the prepared wings in a container with batter and mix everything well.
- Separately prepare the dry breading. To do this, add paprika to the flour for color.
If you wish, you can add a little turmeric, but it has a fairly rich taste and aroma, so the main thing is not to overdo it with this ingredient.
Mix everything well. You can also add salt or other spices to the dry breading to taste.
- Remove chicken wings from batter and dip into dry breading.
PS: I followed the recipe and, to save time, rolled several portions of wings in dry breading at once.
But it’s better not to do this, because while your wings are waiting their turn, some of the batter will slide down and mix with the flour, and the crust on the wings will turn out uneven.
It is best to dip the wings in the dry breading just before frying.
- Pour vegetable oil into a suitable DRY container.
The container should be high enough, and the oil, ideally, should fill it no more than 1/3, while the wings should float freely in it.
Bring the oil to a boil and drop 4-5 wings of the same size into it.
Fry them until golden brown for 6-7 minutes.
If done correctly, you will end up with a typical KFC chicken with exactly the same texture and even the same breading and flakes.

IV. Pour the oil into a deep frying pan and heat it up. While the oil is heating up, take 5-6 pieces of chicken from the pan, throw it into a bag and shake it. The flour sticks to the chicken and you get a breading. We take it out of the bag and put it in the frying pan.. While one portion is frying, we throw the next portion of pieces into the bag with flour.. And so on along the conveyor..
There is no need to fry for a long time.. A light golden crust is enough. Without cayenne pepper, the chicken is not particularly spicy.. . When you do all this and try it, you will note the similarity to the original, but the taste will not be as pronounced.. But the thing is that, unlike the original recipe, I do not use monosodium glutamate (flavor enhancer).
Guys, I work at Rostix. there are no secrets there. I don’t know what kind of marinade the chicken is delivered in, but the recipe is simple! and there are no corn flakes there. there is only flour, a package of spices (where, in principle, there is simply black pepper), an egg-milk mixture and salt. it's all about the right weight proportions. and they come out so fluffy thanks to the rocking basket of everything and business, guys! I can only say that you yourself will not do the same. and there are no MSGs in there. The chicken is delivered every day, everything is fresh. but it’s fast food in Africa too, so don’t get carried away!
"KFC Chicken Strips"
Chicken fillet (breasts) - 900 g Flour - 3.5 cups. Chicken egg - 1 pc. Sweet paprika (ground red) - 3 tbsp. l. Seasoning (herbs for poultry) - 2 tbsp. l. Milk - 0.5 cup. Salt - 1.5 tbsp. l. Red hot pepper - 1 tsp. Sunflower oil – 0.5 l
This recipe differs from many in that it does not contain breadcrumbs. They are not needed!
To begin, the chicken fillet is defrosted and cut into thin pieces, about 2 by 8 cm - like the original strips in Rostiks.
Make the sauce in a mixing bowl: break the egg, pour in half a glass of milk, and start whisking. While whipping, add half a glass of flour (a little more is possible), a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of paprika. Beat until it becomes liquid sour cream; if it is liquid, add flour; if it is thick, add milk.
Place the chicken in this sauce. Let it soak.
I needed to do the following procedure 2 times for 900 g of chicken fillet. If you have half a kilo of it, then once is enough. So, we take a regular plastic bag for lunch. Add 1.5 cups of flour, hot pepper (if you need a spicy option), and a tablespoon of paprika. A mixture of herbs is added to taste. Rostix claims that there are 11 of them, but, of course, the exact proportions are unknown. You can take the following: curry, ginger, oregano, basil, garlic. I used the regular chicken mixture. The package is clamped with your hand and shakes.
Place a deep frying pan (saucepan) on the stove. Pour 0.5 liters of sunflower oil into it. You need a lot of oil. Better pour more. On my Electrolux stove I set the fire to 7 out of 9.
While the oil is boiling, take 5-7 pieces of chicken that are in the sauce and throw them into the bag. Shake the chicken in the bag so it coats with our mixture. One package was enough for me 2 times, after which I made another with the same mixture.
Throw the chicken pieces into the almost boiling oil. It's good if the oil completely covers the chicken. If not, it’s better to crush it with a fork. I did this: the chicken was fried for 3 minutes, then I turned it over with a spatula, after another 3 minutes I closed the lid for 2 minutes, then took it out. While one portion of chicken is fried, shake another portion in the bag.
900 g of chicken is 4 servings of 6 pieces. If you do everything correctly and do not overcook, you will get exactly the same crust as in KFC Rostiks - with flakes and very voluminous.
The taste of the breading needs to be carefully selected, experiment with herbs - perhaps you will be able to get a better taste than in Rostix.

How to make chicken and oatmeal like KFC
- 50 g oatmeal;
- 240 ml kefir;
- 10 g Italian herbs;
- 2 chicken fillets.
Cooking time: 2 hours and 35 minutes.
Calorie content – 111 kcal/100 g.
- Wash the fillet, trim off the fat and cut into long strips;
- Season with spices to taste, knead with your hands and add kefir;
- Stir and refrigerate for at least two hours;
- During this time, grind the oatmeal in a blender, but not into flour, but leave it in pieces;
- Mix with herbs and other spices to taste;
- Remove the fillets from the refrigerator after two hours;

Smoked wings go very well with beer. But their calorie content is simply off the charts. And if you add to it the calories contained in the foamy drink, you will get a very large amount. For those who are on a diet, this combination is simply unacceptable. After all, one hundred grams of wings contain more than three hundred kilocalories.
Of course, chicken wings are not the most dietary product, but if you really want them, then you don’t have to deny yourself, just eat them not very often and don’t abuse them. Just like any other tasty dish.
