How boxers pump up their abs: Mayweather and Pacquiao, exercises, diet

Padding is a fairly important skill in Muay Thai, and it is thanks to it that your body will become less susceptible to external aggressive actions (strikes). You will feel less pain and become better at defending and attacking, and are less likely to get injured or hit yourself when attacking. The advantages of padding are that anyone can practice it, regardless of body type and pain threshold, but it is important to approach this task, like any other, intelligently and headily. The fact is that the padding process in Muay Thai takes a very long time. For example, if it comes to muscles, then the result will already be visible from several months or more. If it comes to bones, then the strengthening mechanism is slightly different, so it will take much more time.

Why is it needed: functions

In our article “Press”: myth or reality? we discussed in detail the structure of the abdominal muscle corset. In this article you will find a detailed description of the muscles. In this one we will only repeat them.

Abdominal/abdominal exercises, effective abdominal exercises for men, girls and women, abdominal press

The abdominal cavity consists of the following muscle groups:

  1. Rectus muscle The longest muscle. Its main purpose is to bend the torso forward in the lumbar region. It is this muscle that is meant when we say “abs”.
  2. External oblique The superficial oblique muscle serves to flex the spinal column, pull down the chest and rotate the body in the opposite direction with unilateral contraction.

When turning to the right, the left muscle is activated; when turning to the left, the right muscle is activated. The external oblique is the largest muscle and therefore the most visible of the three flat muscles.

  3. Internal oblique The main anatomical function is the same as that of the external oblique - rotation of the body, only the rotation is carried out not in the opposite direction, but in the direction on which the muscles are located.
  4. Transverse muscle It forms the deepest layer of muscles of the abdominal wall. It will not affect the appearance of the cubes in any way, however, its function is no less important; it performs the function of supporting internal organs.

So, we are familiar with the structure. But why do we need abs at all? Is it really for beauty and sporty appearance? Of course no
