One thing is clear - VPLab does not have its own production . I don’t see anything terrible in this, since this is a widespread practice. But this point is naturally not a plus.
The company's website states that it was founded in 2006 by an unnamed "former professional athlete." Strange, isn't it? Why hide it?
Well, if we continue the research of VPLab in the style of Navalny☺, using open sources, then, as for the company’s management, you can see that in the largest specialized international social network LinkedIn, at the time of writing this review, there were 6 active VPLab managers registered, of which only one is in England (sales director in the UK). The remaining five, including purchasing and development managers, work in Latvia! By the way, the manufacturer’s official website is made in two languages – English and Latvian.
So, I’ll summarize the research by making assumptions about the origin of the VPLab brand and its products , since the company itself doesn’t really want to share this information:
- The brand is formally registered in England, but this in no way means that the brand is English.
- Basically, the management of the company's work comes from Latvia, and it would probably be correct to say that VPLab is a company from Latvia.
- VPLab does not have its own production. I will assume that most of the products are produced under contracts in Europe (most likely, it is more economically feasible to do this in Poland and Hungary).
- The main sales of the VPLab brand occur in the CIS countries.
Well, now I’ll move on to the review of the VPLab Ultra Men’s Sport sports multivitamins for men:
The production of separate vitamin complexes for women and men by most sports nutrition manufacturers has already become a widespread practice. It is hardly the case that women and men have such different needs for microelements (although, for example, women do have a higher need for iron). I think this is mainly done for marketing reasons - it results in higher overall sales. VPLab did not stand aside and produces Ultra series vitamins not only for men, but also for women - VP Lab Ultra Women's.

I bought a jar of VPLab Ultra Men's Sport with 90 tablets on ozon ru in July 2020 for about 900 rubles (at that time it was a promotional price). There are also jars of 180 tablets on sale - of course, the price for 1 tablet in this case is noticeably cheaper, but I didn’t want to immediately take a large jar of an unfamiliar product.
In fact, VPLab Ultra Men is sold in many places, you need to look and compare prices. For comparison, you can, for example, look at the prices for these vitamins at Decathlon. There are also good prices in the Beru marketplace: 90 tablets, 180 tablets.

As you can see in the photo, VPLab Ultra Men's Sport is not just packaged in a plastic jar, this jar, in turn, is placed in a nice cardboard package, which seems to hint that this is an upper-middle class product and makes it stand out from the crowd on the shelf ( even Optimum Nutrition with its similar, but more expensive Opti Men vitamins does not incur such additional costs). The jar has 2 protective “seals” - a film on top of the lid and a membrane under the lid. In general, everything about the packaging is done at a high level.
The tablets have a streamlined shape and are quite moderate in size. I have a problem with swallowing large tablets, but in the case of VPLab Ultra Men's Sport I did not have any particular difficulties. Although, if the tablets were 10-15% smaller, I would like them even more ☺.
The unpleasant thing is the strong, characteristic odor of the tablets. It makes itself known as soon as you open the jar. This is just a punch on the nose. Maybe someone can tolerate this smell calmly, but to me it seems very disgusting.

- The absolutely “horse” dosage of vitamins B1, B2, B6 and B12 immediately catches your eye. Yes, these are water-soluble vitamins, and their excess will be excreted from the body in any case. But why pump such monstrous amounts of these microelements through your kidneys, while VPLab Ultra Men's Sport is clearly deficient in some other important ingredients? And this is only in one tablet, and the manufacturer suggests taking 1 to 2 tablets per day. By the way, I’ll immediately mention that when I took 1 tablet of vitamins from VPLab Ultra Men, my urine invariably turned a powerful bright yellow color (sorry for the details), which clearly indicates that a number of components of the supplement were simply immediately washed out of the body ( a consequence of an overdose of B vitamins?). And this is against the background of the fact that, I repeat, I drank only 1 tablet a day and traditionally consumed a large amount (from two liters per day) of clean water. By the way, the Russian sticker for the product indicates that the course of taking it can be a maximum of 4 weeks, and a second course is possible after a break of 2 weeks. Yes, indeed, with such hefty dosages for some vitamins, VPLab Ultra Men is definitely not a supplement for constant use.
- Calcium carbonate is, to put it mildly, not the best form of calcium (a chelate, malate, or citrate is recommended). The dosage is ridiculous. We can say against the background of everything else that there is no calcium in VPLab Ultra Men at all. But this is one of the most sought-after minerals!
- Iodine - in many regions we have an iodine deficiency, but here it is only 50%. Not enough.
- Magnesium oxide – absolutely the same claims as for calcium. The cheapest and least effective chemical form, a meager dosage, and all this with the very high importance of this microelement.
- Zinc oxide, copper oxide - again cheap and poorly absorbed forms.
- A mixture of four amino acids in a total amount of 50 mg - it simply cannot cause any other reaction other than laughter. You will not feel any effect even if each of these amino acids is given in a dosage of 50 mg, and not in the total of four amino acids, as in VPLab Ultra Men. Even if you take 500 mg of each amino acid, you will hardly notice anything. Purely marketing component and nothing more. Well, unless the developers of VPLab Ultra Men are secret supporters of the principles of homeopathy☺.
- A mixture of fruit and vegetable extracts, a mixture for memory, a mixture for prostate health, green tea extract - I will say the same about these components as about amino acids. Zero effect due to the ridiculous amount, pure marketing.
To be fair, it is worth noting that the above-mentioned shortcomings are also common among manufacturers of other similar vitamins on the sports nutrition market. A crazy overdose of some vitamins and the “frivolous” content of a number of components introduced into the composition only because of the desire to amaze an incompetent buyer with a formula of a thousand and one components with names incomprehensible to the average person - this is a common problem with many sports vitamins.

Be that as it may, the consumer chooses those vitamins whose positive effects he feels (and, of course, if he does not see any obvious side effects from them). As for my experience with VPLab Ultra Men's Sport, these vitamins did not cause any pronounced side effects (allergies, rashes) for me. I have already mentioned the coloring of urine.
