There are different ways to keep yourself in good shape - some people prefer to visit sanatoriums, others do exercises. I want to talk about the practice that my mother does - it’s called the Eye of Revival
, and it is also often called
5 Tibetan pearls
. According to legend, this stretch came to us from Tibetan monks and lamas, and with its help, millions of women and men improve their quality of life and their health.
Many people are ready to devote a lot of time to their appearance, but think little about their health - in my opinion, this is wrong. The secret of beauty for many women lies precisely in health, which depends on:
- appearance of nails and hair;
- skin condition;
- general body tone;
- muscle tone;
- condition of the spine and joints.
But all this is nothing other than beauty. Imagine a fit, athletic person with correct posture, beautiful skin, shiny hair, a white-toothed smile - would you dare call such a person ugly? You need to take care of your health, and the Eye of Rebirth gymnastics will help here.
About energy centers
Each of us has at least once heard about such a concept from yoga as chakras - psychoenergetic centers through which life energy passes. They are common in Buddhism, Judaism, Ayurveda and various alternative medicines. As for Tibetan lamas, they have a more common concept - whirlwinds of rebirth. They are energy vortexes in the subtle matter of a person. There are only 19 of them, 7 of which are basic. When a person is healthy and young, these vortices move very quickly and go beyond the boundaries of the person; when a person gets old and sick, they do not even reach the boundaries of the body. He wrote about this in more detail in his book “The Eye of Revival. The Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth" Peter Kalder. The main vortices are located as follows:
- The lowest one is located at the base of the body;
- The second is slightly higher - at the highest point of the pubis;
- The third is below the navel;
- The fourth is in the center of the chest;
- The fifth is at the base of the neck;
- The sixth and seventh are located in the head, one above the other.
As for the remaining vortices, they correspond to the joints.
As Peter Kalder states in his book, in order to restore youth and health, it is necessary to maintain vortex flows at the proper level, to ensure that they move at high speed and go beyond the limits of the human body, thus, the entire body and organs will be saturated with vitality. 5 simple exercises of the monks of the Eye of the Renaissance, which are suitable for both women and men, will help ensure this. In general, it is correct to call them not exercises, but rituals.
Ritual actions
By the way, the five Tibetans are not exercises, but rather ritual actions, so they should be treated as such.
The complex must be performed in the morning, immediately after waking up.
. There are strict rules for implementation, and you must follow them - not only in order to get results, but also so as not to harm yourself.
The fact is that at first glance the complex looks no more difficult than a regular warm-up - and therefore many people start doing it instead of morning exercises, without thinking at all about its meaning. If you understand what the Eye of Rebirth requires from a person and follow its instructions, then you will understand what its secret is literally on your own body.
What is included in the set of exercises:
- body turns with arms outstretched;
- raising the head and legs in a lying position;
- arching of the back while a person is kneeling;
- transition from a sitting position to a “table” position;
- transition from a supine position to a triangle pose.
A few more recommendations
Naturally, the recommendations are not mine, but belong, according to the author of the book, to the monks. The lamas' advice is quite simple and easy to follow. Before you perform the ritual actions, you can take a shower (after performing it, it is better to refrain from cold water for some time - do not allow a sharp temperature contrast).
If you need a little warm-up before exercise, do not deny yourself, even medicine confirms that you need to warm up slightly before morning exercises, because the muscles are not toned.
In the video below you can see the technique of execution, the correct positions, but there are also the correct thought forms for each ritual action:
- Energy of force
. You need to feel the power that passes through your body, it gives confidence and fills literally the whole body. - The joy of life
. The second ritual action must be performed slowly, setting yourself up in a positive mood, all the time remembering that life is joy and pleasure, and there is a lot of beauty in the world. - Beauty and will
. The third ritual action involves a feeling of your own beauty; you need to feel and believe that you are beautiful, healthy and young. - Love and peace
. Feel the energy of love, try with every breath to feel how you are filled with the energy of love and tranquility. - The world around
. Feel the beauty of the world - how beautiful it is, how many facets the universe has, and how much freedom there is around you.
After completing each ritual action, you need to listen to yourself, take three deep breaths and only then move on
. If after the exercise you feel discomfort, then you need to either interrupt the exercise altogether, or simply give yourself a little time to come to a calm state.
After the entire complex is completed, you need to lie on your back on a hard surface
(yes, a regular floor is just right), and completely relax - stretch out, relax your legs and arms and spend from five to fifteen minutes in this position.
This will help normalize all processes in the body. After this, you need to take a deep breath, wholeheartedly stretch in different directions and stand over your right side. Then you can have breakfast, but it’s better to take a shower after half an hour.
How to exercise correctly?
The Eye of Renaissance includes five Tibetan rituals that must be performed every day in increments. It only takes a few minutes, so anyone can afford them, especially since they do not require any physical training. Just get up in the morning, spend 5-10 minutes of free time on exercise, and you will be energized for the whole day.
At first, you will have to force yourself, and it is very important to make Eye of Renaissance gymnastics a habit, just like you are used to brushing your teeth in the morning.
You don’t need any additional equipment - just a mat, a blanket, you can even do it on a carpet.
Tibetan gymnastics – reviews
Natalia:
With age, health problems began. There seemed to be no serious illnesses, but constant fatigue and depression gave me no rest.
Then I decided to try the “Eye of Rebirth” gymnastics - I figured out the exercises, read the reviews and asked the doctors’ opinions. I've been doing it for six months now.
My health has improved significantly, I have more energy and strength. And I even managed to lose 5 extra pounds.
Olga:
I’ve been trying to lose weight for a long time, but grueling workouts are not for me. To begin with, I revised my diet. And then I chose Tibetan gymnastics for classes.
Five Tibetan pearls seemed quite simple to perform, and after watching the video with the exercises, I started practicing.
Over the course of a year of training, I managed to lose 8 kg of excess weight. General health has improved significantly. It was even possible to reduce the appearance of varicose veins on the legs. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Valentina:
I did Tibetan gymnastics as a morning exercise. It really helped me cheer up and recharge my energy for the whole day. And in addition, she got rid of extra centimeters on her waist, her posture straightened.
Irina:
I have been following proper nutrition for a long time and am interested in the philosophy of Tibet. Eye of Renaissance gymnastics has become an important part of my life and helped me look at the world more positively. And the complex helped my friend get rid of 5 kg in six months. I think this is ideal gymnastics for both body and soul.
Anna:
I was attracted to gymnastics because it only takes 20-30 minutes a day to practice. I'm a very busy person and I didn't have time to work out in the gym. In 3 months of training I lost 2 kg. It is not always possible to eat properly and balanced. This is probably why the result is like this.
Hope:
I have a small child and absolutely no opportunity to study long and hard. And I really wanted to get rid of excess weight. Gymnastics “Eye of Revival” became a salvation for me and in a year of training I managed to get rid of 8 extra kilos. I am currently planning to purchase Peter Kalder's new book, "The Eye of Rebirth for a New Age."
First ritual
This ritual (exercise) allows you to “turn on” energy vortexes, set their inertia and speed. The technique is the simplest of all other exercises.
- Stand up straight. Extend your arms horizontally to the sides to shoulder level. Fix with your eyes any one point in front of you.
- Start rotating clockwise around your axis in one place, while trying to keep your gaze on the selected point, and, having lost sight of it, quickly turn your head, ahead of the rotation, fixing it again.
- Spin like this until you feel slightly dizzy.
At first, dizziness will occur quickly, literally after a few rotations. It is necessary for the vestibular apparatus to get used to it. Gradually you can increase the number of circles. Start with 3 revolutions and increase them as you get used to it.
The main thing is not to cross the line, not to bring yourself to extreme dizziness. And don't increase the number of vortices beyond 21, even if you don't feel dizzy. Overstimulation of the vortexes, according to the monks, leads to imbalance, especially in women.
Objectives of Tibetan exercises
Unfavorable periods (chronic illnesses, constant stress, poor lifestyle) slow down energy vortices. The deterioration of the patient’s well-being is accompanied by a disruption in the body’s energy exchange with the outside world. The result of the pathological condition is an exacerbation of chronic diseases, a progressive aging process. The “domino principle” is triggered: one illness leads to subsequent ones.
Tibetan lamas (monks) have developed a unique combination of physical exercises that can restore energy flows along the dominant hormonal centers. Therapeutic breathing techniques will improve overall health and prolong youth for a long time.
Tibetan exercises will be relevant for both men and women. Daily exercise will solve the following problems:
- increases skin elasticity, smoothes out shallow wrinkles;
- strengthens nails and hair;
- improves muscle turgor;
- relieves joints and all parts of the spinal axis;
- increases the overall tone of the body, relieving chronic fatigue, fatigue, and headaches;
- normalizes the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract;
- activates the properties of memory and attention;
- eliminates hormonal problems (including the reproductive system). Restores the menstrual cycle;
- normalizes weight;
- improves vision.
Second ritual
The next ritual action must be performed immediately after the first in order to stabilize and strengthen the energy vortexes. To do this, the technique requires lying on the floor on your back.
- Stretch your arms along your body, press your palms to the floor.
- Lift your head off the floor and pull it towards your chest, practically touching your chin to your sternum.
- Next, lift your straight legs off the floor and pull yourself towards you, without bending your knees, but NOT lifting your pelvis from the floor. If stretching allows, you can pull your legs as close to you as possible.
- Lower your head and feet to the floor, relax and repeat.
While performing the second Eye of Rebirth ritual, proper breathing must be observed.
Before performing, completely empty your lungs of air. Begin to lift your head and legs while inhaling slowly but deeply. Of course, not every person can lift straight legs up so easily. Therefore, if you are one of them, start the practice by raising your legs bent at the knee.
Contraindications
The Eye of Renaissance (5 Tibetan exercises) actively engages all joints, the spine, and helps fill vascular tone. Therefore, before starting to perform gymnastics, it is advisable to know about the nature of your ailments and consult a doctor, explaining the meaning of the exercises and possible side effects on the body.
Common contraindications for performing ritual gymnastics include the following:
- high blood pressure;
- heart disease - angina pectoris, arrhythmia, previous heart surgery, heart attacks, strokes;
- diseases of the spine - hernias, injuries;
- multiple sclerosis;
- old age - from 65-70 years;
- children's age - up to 7 years;
- pregnancy;
- lactation period - the first six months after birth.
If it is possible to perform exercises under the supervision of an experienced exercise therapy instructor, then gymnastics will, in any case, only be beneficial.
Third ritual
Follows immediately after the first two, but must be performed on your knees. In this case, try to place your knees at the width of your pelvic bones. Technique:
- Place your palms on the back of your thighs, under your buttocks.
- First tilt your head down (as you exhale), resting your chin on your chest, then lift it up and throw it back, opening your shoulders and chest and trying to bend your spine (as you inhale).
- Return to starting position and repeat.
In this exercise, it is important to be careful not to make sudden movements, not to throw your head back too much and not to tilt your torso back - the pelvis and legs should remain in one place.
Additionally, this exercise should be performed with caution if you have spinal problems.
Who is Peter Kelder
“The Eye of Renaissance - 5 Tibetan Exercises” is an opus authored by Peter Kelder. He describes a traveler who wants to gain insight into eternal life. Methods of prolonging youth were revealed to him by the Tibetan Keepers of Knowledge.
For 5 years, the colonel was prepared to transfer rejuvenation methods to other people. But in those years, the mysticism of his story was indifferently received by the few readers of the Eye. In Russia, the translated edition of “The Eye of Revival” appeared in 1994 in a small edition, which sold out unexpectedly quickly.
Soon, numerous requests from readers began to reprint the brochure. The Russian yoga master re-released “Oko” with the addition of his practices. The further fate of the author of the original source of “The Eye of Rebirth” is difficult to describe due to the lack of at least some information about him.
The author was only an intermediary who conveyed the ritual practices of mountain monks, which contained deep information about how to turn back a person’s internal time.
Fourth ritual
The technique for performing the fifth ritual, the Eye of Rebirth, is somewhat more complicated than the previous ones, so it may be difficult at first.
- Sit on the floor, stretch your legs straight in front of you, and place your palms on the floor at the level of your hip joints.
- Press your chin to your chest (as you exhale), then tilt your head back, while lifting your pelvis upward, bringing your torso to a horizontal position (as you inhale). Return to starting position and repeat.
- Your arms and legs should be perpendicular to the floor at the top. Those. your position should be somewhat like a table.
Most untrained women and men will not be able to bring their body to a horizontal position the first time and there is no need to try to achieve this through force. Do it as it turns out, and gradually the result will not be long in coming.
Pauses between repetitions and exercises
If the Eye of Rebirth complex is easy to perform, do not pause between repetitions of one exercise. But don't push yourself to the point of exhaustion - it will only hurt you. Between individual exercises, a pause is necessary. During this pause, you need to stand up straight, put your hands on your waist and take several smooth, full breaths, carefully monitoring the sensations that arise in the body, while focusing on the area of the body inside the abdomen at the level of the navel. At this time, you can feel streams of energy flowing through your body as you inhale, and someday you can even see vortexes. While exhaling, try to relax as much as possible and feel how the “spoiled” prana, along with subtle impurities and painful blocks, leaves the body, being washed away by streams of “fresh” prana entering the body as you inhale.
Fifth ritual
This ritual is present in all eastern practices, it’s just called differently. This is a truly unique exercise with healing powers. Technique:
- Lie on your stomach with your hands on the floor at shoulder level and your toes on the floor.
- Bend your back, straightening your arms and lifting your hips off the floor, throwing your head back as much as possible (as you exhale). This position is familiar to everyone as the cobra pose.
- Lift your pelvis up without changing the position of your hands and feet. Ideally, you should get a triangle (as you inhale).
- Return to starting position and repeat.
This exercise is quite challenging as it requires good stretching and flexibility. Most will not be able to do it correctly at first, so there will be a need to bend the knees to fully straighten the back as in the photo.
The essence
The essence of all five exercises is quite clearly reflected in this illustration.
All exercises, except maybe the third, are quite simple and known to everyone. Backbends, bridges, leg lifts. Simple, but effective - the same bridge is generally one of the best healing exercises for the spine. But first, it still makes sense to read the book itself, since it is short. It contains detailed descriptions of all five exercises.
And the illustration can be used later as a cheat sheet.
Sixth ritual
There is also a sixth ritual, but it can only be used by people who abstain from sexual activity. In addition, you can begin to practice it only after fully mastering the 5 rituals described above, and this sometimes requires several years. The technique is similar to yoga nauli, only without moving the abdominal muscles, and is also similar to the vacuum exercise for the abdomen.
It is also generally accepted that the sixth ritual is not suitable for women; in any case, the author of the book, Peter Kalder, does not mention anywhere that women should also perform it. Perhaps this is due to the fact that we are, after all, initially talking about Tibetan monks who live their entire lives in abstinence.
Personal experience
I started making “Eye of Rebirth” a couple of years ago when my back began to ache from sleeping on an uncomfortable bed.
I just came across the book by chance and decided to give it a try, because... The described system attracted attention due to its simplicity and minimum time for implementation. And the latter was quite important for me, because... I was not good at physical education, and the thought of regular “full-fledged” exercises of 30 minutes or more made me sad.
In general, I tried it. Literally on the third day, my back stopped hurting. I was even surprised by such speed.
Alas, then I didn’t have enough patience and perseverance for long, and I didn’t study for long. Quit. But the impressions remained extremely positive.
Recommendations for practice
To ensure that the Eye of Rebirth practice is successfully mastered and gives maximum benefit, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the following recommendations:
- Increase the number of repetitions evenly. Those. in the first week, do only 3 repetitions of each ritual. After a week, add 2 repetitions, then 2 more, etc. until you reach 21 times. The only exception is the first ritual. It can be done more, although the monks do not recommend it, we have already written about this above.
- You need to practice daily, either in the morning or before bed. Ideally, do it before dawn. Once you have mastered the technique well, you can practice the rituals both in the morning and in the evening.
- Perform backbending rituals carefully if you have problems with your spine. People suffering from cardiovascular diseases also need to be careful. For women, the fifth ritual is contraindicated during menstruation.
- It is recommended to take a warm bath or shower after the rituals.
Recommendations for performing Tibetan gymnastics
When choosing Tibetan gymnastics as a way to lose weight, you should understand that you should not expect quick results. You should also adhere to the following recommendations during classes:
- Exercise in the first half of the day, preferably before breakfast.
- In Tibetan gymnastics, an important aspect is the regularity of classes - you should not miss a single day.
- Breathing is also important - breathe evenly and slowly.
- Clothing for gymnastics should be comfortable and not restrict movement.
- All exercises are performed only at rest. Make sure there are no distractions during your workout and don't start exercising under stress.
- The diet should also be reconsidered. Eliminate “harmful” foods. Focus on vegetables, complex carbohydrates and drink more water.
Despite the moderate pace of exercises and a considerable number of advantages, Tibetan gymnastics has a number of contraindications:
- thyroid diseases;
- stomach ulcer;
- heart and vascular disease.
- for people with diseases of the spine and joints.
Now let's move on to classes.
Breathing technique when performing exercises
“The Eye of Renaissance” (5 Tibetan exercises) must be performed in a special breathing mode - deep, very important for the connection of a person’s physical and etheric bodies. Inhalation is always done through the nose, and exhalation accompanies the strength part of each exercise.
Eye of Renaissance 5 Tibetan exercises must be performed with proper breathing and in a calm atmosphere.
There are two breathing options when performing Tibetan exercises:
- Exhale quickly with noise, with second delays at the extreme points - the end of each repetition of the exercises.
- Smooth breathing with exhalation delays for up to 4 seconds. Inhale and for 2-4 seconds. exhale at the extreme points of the exercises.
Peter Kalder's Tips for Implementing the Five Rituals
Adviсe:
- The Eye of Renaissance from 5 Tibetan exercises should be performed once a day, 3 times each.
- In each subsequent week, add 2 repetitions to the ritual actions - 9 weeks.
- There should be a total of 21 repetitions of each action.
- If necessary (for health reasons), you can add repetitions slower than 2 per week. For example, increase by 2 every two weeks.
- Doing exercises in the morning is the most recommended time. The effect of the ritual will last throughout the day.
- It is acceptable to perform rituals twice a day. The maximum number of repetitions of each is 21 times daily - no more. It takes 20 minutes. time.
- If you want more stress on the body, you can increase the speed of performing each of the rituals or add other exercises, for example, a warm-up warm-up before the complex or swimming after gymnastics.
- Between rituals it is necessary to take a break to restore breathing.
- On days when there are not even 20 minutes. on “Eye” or your health condition deteriorates, making it impossible to complete the entire complex, you can perform 3 repetitions of each exercise. This is better than skipping 1 day altogether.
