Personal life

The "Valkyrie of the Revolution" was an amazingly beautiful woman. At the sight of her, the men froze. It’s no wonder that the personal life of the fatal beauty is rich in novels, the heroes of which were prominent men.

Larisa Reisner and Nikolai Gumilyov

In 1916-1917, the revolutionary and poetess fell in love with Nikolai Gumilyov, who was then married to Anna Akhmatova. The flighty poet, who noticed Larisa in the bohemian St. Petersburg cafe “Halt of Comedians,” reciprocated Larisa’s feelings.

But their stormy meetings in a dating house on Gorokhovaya Street ended sadly. Reisner learned about Gumilyov’s “parallel” affair with Anna Engelhardt. A painful separation for women's pride followed. The burning resentment intensified when Nikolai Gumilyov married his rival.

Larisa Reisner and Andrey Bradulov

Later, Larisa Reisner dropped in to visit Akhmatova, bringing food to the starving poetess. She admitted that her love for Nikolai Gumilyov was so strong that Larisa was ready to go to the ends of the world to follow him. Wounded pride (Gumilev was the only one who preferred a rival to the beautiful Reisner) resulted in female revenge: when Larisa found herself at the peak of Bolshevik power, she made sure that the poet’s food ration was taken away.

Then Larisa began a fleeting romance with the prose-marine painter and jazz lover Sergei Kolbasyev. But Reisner married midshipman Fyodor Raskolnikov, with whom she settled in Moscow, in a luxurious noble house with servants.

Larisa Reisner and Fyodor Raskolnikov

In the early 1920s, the couple went to Afghanistan - Fyodor Fedorovich was sent to the country to lead a diplomatic mission. But the warm climate, palm trees, and the attention of diplomats tired of the windy beauty.

Larisa Reisner presented the reason for the separation as a tragically terminated pregnancy, blaming her husband for this. Rumor has it that the real reason was the unextinguished love for Nikolai Gumilyov: the diplomat could not replace the poet. But Reisner could no longer return Gumilyov: the writer was shot. Raskolnikov did not give a divorce to his wife, but this did not become an obstacle to the subsequent love adventures of the freedom-loving “Valkyrie”.

Larisa Reisner and Karl Radek

Upon returning to Moscow, Larisa Reisner began a short affair with publicist Karl Radek, but after a joint trip to Germany, the woman left him too. In Donbass, the beauty had a relationship with party official Andrei Bradulov.

The bright, indomitable “Valkyrie” was not ignored by Vsevolod Vishnevsky and Boris Pasternak. For the first, Reisner became the prototype of the female commissar in the play “Optimistic Tragedy,” while the second named the main character of the novel “Doctor Zhivago” after her. The image of Larisa Reisner was used in the novels of Andrei Valentinov and Boris Akunin. The legendary woman found a place in the TV series “Trotsky”.

Fatal mistakes

What happened to the An-24 plane, which on August 24, 1981, flew on the route Komsomolsk-on-Amur - Blagoveshchensk, will be officially told only many years later.

On this day, the section of the local air line “Bureya-Chegdomyn” was supposed to be crossed several times by military aircraft. It was planned that everything would go smoothly and consistently.

But the Tu-16K bomber, which took off for weather reconnaissance from the Zavitinsk military airfield, was not informed by dispatchers about everything that was happening along the flight route. As a result, the pilots reported that a new flight had been recruited earlier than this actually happened. The An-24 crew, in turn, slightly deviated from their flight corridor.

Less significant mistakes were compounded by the lack of sufficient interaction between military and civilian controllers. As a result, at 15:21 local time, at an altitude of 5220 meters, 70 kilometers east of the Zavitinsk airfield and 3 kilometers away from the Bureya-Chegdomyn air route, two aircraft collided.

As a result of the disaster, both the bomber and the An-24 were destroyed.

Flying is not scary

She wasn't even given a disability. The doctors shrugged and complained - all her injuries together were serious, but not one of them alone amounted to disability.

The entire subsequent life of Larisa Savitskaya turned into overcoming. Despite the pain in her spine, a year later she recovered at the institute. Then she experienced another tragedy - her mother died in a car accident.

Despite everything, despite the advice of doctors, Larisa was able to give birth to a son, who became the meaning of life for her.

Surprisingly, she was never afraid to fly on an airplane. Just like the Yugoslav flight attendant Vesna Vulović , who survived the explosion and fall of the plane from a height of 10 kilometers. It was as if nature itself gave them, having survived an incredible ordeal, protection from fear.
